John has over twenty years’ experience as a Big Four firm CPA, consultant, and CFO advising boards, management, investors, corporate lenders, investment bankers, attorneys, investors, and regulators with respect to restructures, reorganizations, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, valuations, corporate strategy and structure. He has worked across a variety of industries for both public and private companies ranging to billions in revenue. He has served clients that include Bank of America, NationsBank, PNC Bank, Capstead, Capstone Partners, Wingate Partners, Lomas Realty, Southmark, Southland, Fairfield Communities, AmWest Savings, Wal-Mart, TU Electric, Trammell Crow, and Piggly Wiggly,.

John has served as Chief Financial Officer of four divisions of Wells Fargo Consumer Credit Group with $50 billion in assets and two divisions of GMAC Mortgage (Ditech and GMAC Direct) with revenues exceeding $700 million, and FirstPlus Direct. He had held other roles such as head of the Asset Securitization Group of BancOne/First USA and the consumer finance division of Life Bank.

In those capacities, John has raised $6 billion in asset-backed securities, modeled and provided attestation services on $4 billion of collateralized mortgage obligations, and worked on numerous mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, including a $2 billion portfolio. He managed finance teams with responsibilities for forecasting, reporting, pricing, marketing analytics, information systems, customer care, outsourcing, strategic planning, and operational capacity planning.

John is a Certified Public Accountant with memberships in the American Society of Certified Public Accountants and Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. He holds a master of business administration in finance from Pennsylvania State University and a bachelor of science in business with emphasis in accounting and systems design and analysis from John Brown University.
