Don Gilman brings over 20 years of senior executive experience in strategic marketing, sales, and business development. As a C-Level executive, he has served in numerous public and private companies, including a multi-year international assignment for a $50 billion company.
Don’s experience includes a variety of senior executive positions, including CEO, COO, and VP in many industries, including aerospace, automotive, financial services, non-profit, entertainment, retail, defense, manufacturing, medical device, and telecommunication. His expertise spans a wide range of disciplines that includes merger and acquisitions due diligence, complex systems development oversight, and organizational efficiency improvements.
Don brings a wealth of knowledge and experience, having led and been part of executive teams with responsibility for major M&A activities, including the performance of highly complex due diligence efforts. Don was responsible for the sales and marketing for the North American and European business of this $50 billion multinational corporation.
Don has taught for various institutions, including the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). He has been widely quoted on sales and marketing topics in the USA Today, the Los Angeles Times, the Orange County Register, the New York Times, and many other national and regional newspapers and periodicals. Don also has several published articles in respected international publications.
Don’s formal education includes undergraduate degrees in engineering physics and nuclear engineering, a master degree in engineering management (MSEM) and doctoral studies in organization change.
He is a faculty member of the American Management Association, board member of the Institute of Management Consultants, an active member of the Academy of Management, National Speakers Association, and the American Society of Training and Development. Don also holds board-level positions with corporations as well as with educational and financial organizations.
