Charles R. McBride, CPA, CFF

Chuck McBride has a wealth of knowledge in the construction industry. He has nearly 30 years of experience as a certified public accountant with a Big Four firm and in corporate financial executive positions, and as a consultant specializing in forensic accounting, litigation support services, merger and acquisition due diligence, construction cost close-out audits for GMP contracts and construction contract claims.  He has worked extensively in all facets of contractor operations and in litigation including both public works and private contracting issues. Chuck has been responsible for the accounting on more than five hundred construction projects totaling over one billion dollars. He is experienced in understanding contractor cost accounting systems and internal management reporting systems.

As chief financial officer of three large general contractors that dealt with commercial building and heavy and highway construction, earth moving, quarry mining and asphalt contractors, he has extensive experience with financial reporting, evaluating estimates of cost to complete on construction contracts, merger and acquisition due diligence, and post-merger integration, contract pricing, change orders, claims, and equipment management.  He also has extensive experience with strategic planning, short- and long-term budgeting and forecasting, construction accounting software selection and implementation, internal controls and treasury and risk management.

Chuck McBride is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in California and is Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF). He graduated summa cum laude from Southern Methodist University with a bachelor of business administration in both accounting and finance. Chuck has written articles on acquiring and valuing construction companies and is a qualified expert in the California Superior Courts.
