Carlos Elizondo has extensive financial services experience ranging from international public accounting, transaction advisory, corporate finance, underwriting, and portfolio management obtained with early stage to Fortune 50 companies. Carlos is expert in a variety of structured finance products that include: corporate loans; interest rate hedges; distressed debt; second-lien loans; securitizations; factoring facilities; leveraged, tax and structured leases; trade finance; vendor programs; real estate finance; and equity. His transaction experience includes originations, due diligence, structuring, negotiations, and syndications. This includes investment evaluation for global acquisitions and divestitures.

As Team Leader for the Global Enterprise Group of GE Capital, Carlos managed professionals responsible for global relationships and business originations. As senior vice president and through other roles, he became proficient in client relationships, loan originations, underwriting, and portfolio management. He has led and closed numerous financing transactions totaling over $6 billion. These have included leases and loans to support growth capital, acquisition financing, recapitalizations, restructurings, and leveraged buyouts. In addition, his specialty leadership in technology and electronics led to creation of GE’s lending vertical in the electronics industry. Carlos led the GE Capital’s West Coast lending originations.

Carlos also provided transaction advisory services for an international accounting firm’s clients across various industries. He executed numerous buy-side and sell-side diligence engagements, including tax and accounting structuring, merger integration, and post-transaction analysis for private equity investors and strategic buyers. He created detailed valuation models for acquisition and divestiture analysis.

Carlos holds a master of accounting degree from the University of Southern California and a bachelor of arts in history from the University of Texas at Austin.
