Jerald M. Savin
FIMC, CMC

Jerry Savin has over thirty years of business technology and public accounting experience. As both a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) obtained with Big Four certified public accounting and consulting firm, KPMG, national CPA firm, Laventhol & Horwath, and as CEO of Cambridge Technology Consulting Group, he blends information technology, financial, internal controls, and operational experience to provide high quality, practical consulting services. Jerry has particularly strong experience and technical expertise in:

• Due diligence and assessment of IT risk, strategy, and issues identification
• Information technology assessment and strategy development
• System selection and implementation
• Complex business and systems design and development 
• Internal control compliance (SOX 404)

Jerry has worked with clients in professional and financial services, internet and e-commerce, telecommunications, insurance, retail, aerospace, apparel, commercial real estate, construction, distribution, entertainment, healthcare, high-tech, manufacturing, petroleum, and publishing.

Jerry currently teaches courses for UCLA Extension and the Education Foundation of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. He has taught for the University of Redlands, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Washington State Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the California State Polytechnic, University at Pomona. 

His presentations and courses have included CobiT, Sarbanes-Oxley 404 Compliance, Selection and Implementation of Packaged Information Systems, Automated Accounting Information Systems, Systems Development, Selecting Accounting Software, Management Consulting, and Business Transition Planning. 

Jerry’s articles have been published in the Los Angeles Business Journal, Corporate Controller, Discount Merchandiser, Journal of Business Strategy, and Manufacturing Systems.

As a Certified Management Consultant and licensed Certified Public Accountant, and former Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP), he is or has also served in the following capacities:

• Board member and past national chairman of the Institute of Management Consultants USA (IMCUSA)
• Chairman, Governance and Audit Committee of IMCUSA

Jerry has a master degree in philosophy and psychology from Claremont University and holds a bachelor of science in physics and mathematics.
