John Bayley
Retail & Restaurant Management

John Bayley brings over 30 years of financial management experience in the restaurant and retail sectors.  He’s held senior financial positions, including chief financial officer, treasurer, and controller of both public (NYSE and NASDAQ) and private companies ranging in size from $20 million to over $12 billion in revenues.  His primary experience has been with executive management teams of middle market entrepreneurial companies.

John has held various positions up to and including CFO of both franchisor and franchisee organizations and has developed an in depth understanding of the issues involved in those relationships.  He has also been involved in repositioning, work out, and turnaround situations to include taking an acquired chain from and $8 million operating loss to a $1 million profit in 18 months.  John has also managed successful accounting system conversions and point of sale system roll outs.  He has worked closely with all levels of restaurant operating management helping them define, articulate, and track key performance indicators for improving operating performance.  John’s an expert in managing large organizations, accounting and managerial reporting, financial analysis, treasury, business modeling, and cash flow forecasting and budgeting.

John earned a master of business administration with emphasis in accounting and finance from the University of Massachusetts and a bachelor of arts degree from Boston University.
