Steven M. Besbeck

Steve Besbeck, is a Certified Mergers and Acquisition Advisor (CM&AA), certified director, corporate governance expert, and public company audit committee chairman.  His career has spanned more than 35 years as chief executive officer, financial executive, entrepreneur, and board member of global private and public companies. He combines entrepreneurial vision, strong business acumen, and management capabilities to drive growth of organizations from entrepreneurial to large, complex public and private companies.

As chief executive of three companies, Steve raised millions of dollars in equity and debt financing including initial public offerings. He has managed mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, turnarounds, and liquidations. He is proficient in medical and healthcare technologies, services, and devices. Steve chairs the audit committee and serves on the board of directors of a leading public company that specializes in invitro diagnostics and molecular testing. As a result of extensive experience in these healthcare and medical technologies, he is particularly knowledgeable about compliance with FDA and ISO international regulations.

Having served on several private and public company boards of director and as coach and advisor to companies seeking to improve their board practices, Steve is a respected speaker on entrepreneurship and corporate governance. In addition to being an active member of the National Association of Corporate Directors and the Alliance of Mergers and Acquisition Advisors, he is also member of medical industry associations such as the Advanced Medical Technology Association and American Association for Clinical Chemistry. 

Steve is credentialed as a Certified Director through the National Association of Corporate Directors and as a Certified Mergers and Acquisition Advisor (CM&AA). He holds a bachelor of science degree in finance and accounting from California State University, Long Beach.
